Josephine Kaukali Kailikini Fergerstrom, 90, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 31. Born in Hawaii, she worked as a waitress at Kona Hilton Resort. Van Berry Roberson, 79, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 17 at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Jasper, Fla., he was a retired U.S. Air Force major, fighter pilot and recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, southern regional director for Century 21 and a member of VFW.
